SSC result: Zero pass rate in 104 institutions

Students of 104 educational institutions were not among the 82.87% of those that passed the Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations across the country, according to examination results published on Sunday.

The number of institutions which registered a 100 percent failure rate was 107 last year and 109 in 2018.

However, all examinees from 3,023 schools have passed the SSC and equivalent exams.

The number of institutions where all examinees passed the exam were 2,583 in 2019.

The schools which registered 100 percent success rate were 1,574 in 2018 while  2,266 in 2017 and 4,734 in 2016.

Eighty two point eighty seven (82.87 percent) percent students came out successfully in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations.

However, some 1,35,898 students got GPA-5 this year.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni announced the results at a video conference today.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the results from Ganabhaban at 10am.

This year the student pass rate of Cumilla Board was 85.22%  Chattogram- 84.75%, Dinajpur- 82.73%, Mymensingh- 80.13%, Sylhet- 78.79%, Barishal- 79.70%, Jashore- 87.31%.

Some 10,245 students attained A+ from Cumilla Board, 9,008 from Chattogram, 12,086 from Dinajpur, 7.434 from Mymensingh, 4,263 from Sylhet, 4,483 from Barishal and 13,764 from Jashore.
