Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said the decision on reopening of country’s educational institutions and holding Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be learned soon.

She made the remark in a programme at International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Dipu Moni will hold a press conference on Wednesday in this regard.

The educational institutions have been closed since March 17 when Bangladesh confirmed the first case of COVID-19.

As the academic year is about to end, students and their guardians are concerned how the promotions to the next classes will take place and what will happen to the lost lessons.

On the other hand, around 13 lakh students were expected to sit for the HSC and equivalent examinations that were scheduled to start from April 1.
