41,401 varsity students to get loan for smartphone purchase

A total of 41,401 students of 39 public universities across the country will receive soft loans to purchase smartphones as the University Grants Commission (UGC) will provide assistance in this regard.
Each of the public university student will receive Tk 8,000 as interest-free loan by January 31 next year. Students, will have to pay back the money in four installments after the reopening of their institutions.
Media report revealed that the regulatory authority of the higher education will provide fund to the public universities in advance under fiscal of 2020-21.
