The High Court on Monday ordered the authorities to prepare a list of names and addresses of Bangladeshi nationals who are holding dual citizenship and passports.
The bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukdar and Justice Ahmed Sohel issued the order during hearing a suo muto (voluntary) rule.
The superintendent of immigration police has been directed to submit the list by February 28, 2021.
The court also wanted to know the name of the people who purchased homes abroad through money laundering.
Lawyer Khurshid Alam represented the Anti-Corruption Commission in court while DeputyAttorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik appeared for the state.
