Bangladesh confirmed 26 more deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours ending at 8:00am on Saturday.
With the new figures, the number of COVID-19 deaths rose to 8,668, a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) made the disclosure on Saturday afternoon.
Besides, the country has registered 1,868 new infections over the period, taking the tally to 5,68,706.
In the last 24 hours, 219 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 19,900 samples.
Health authorities reported another 1,577 people recovered from the disease in a day, rising the total number of recoveries to 520,118.
