Ban imposed on tourists for not to enter Sundarbans

The forest department has imposed a ban on tourists from entering Sundarbans for the sake of early recovery of the damages to animals and biodiversity occurred due to cyclone Bulbul.

Mainuddin Khan, a forest conservation officer of Khulna Range confirmed the matter on Monday afternoon.

He said that 63 teams of forest department have been working to figure out the extent of damages were made by the latest natural disaster.

He also added that the ban will be lifted once the surveying will over and the situation becomes normal.

The cyclonic storm Bulbul devastated the world’s largest mangrove forest the Sundarbans, in both India and Bangladesh part, as it hit on land on Saturday night. Many plants were uprooted and broken down in some places.

According to the forest department, after the devastation of cyclone Bulbul, there was a panic among the animals in the area.
