US-Bangla official among two held with 3 gold bars

The customs officials of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport detained a private airline official with three gold bars on Friday.
The detainees were identified as Omar Faruk, Customer Service Officer of US-Bangla Airlines and Mamun Mia a passenger of flight BG0040 of Bangladesh Biman Airlines.
Acting on a tip-off, preventive officials of smuggling prevention unit of Custom House in Dhaka airport held the duo from the duty-free shop of Parjatan Corporation at around 3:30 pm.
