Father arrested over Brac University student Sanjana’s suicide

RAB arrested Shahin Alam, father of the Brac University student Sanjana Mosaddika who killed herself after jumping from a roof of 12-storey building at Dokkhinkhan in the capital.
Assistant Director ASP Al-Amin of Legal and Media wing of RAB said Shahin was held from Gafargaon of Mymensingh at noon on Wednesday.
He said, “Sanjana committed suicide after jumping from a 12-storey building in Mollartek area of Dokkhinkhan at noon on Saturday. Police recovered her body at 7:00pm in the evening. Sanjana’s mother filed a case in that night accusing her father Shahin Alam.”
Accused Shahin Alam went into hiding at Gafargaon in Mymensingh after the incident.
