At least 12,930 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) have been accused in 49 new cases filed over various programmer of the party on October 18.
Senior Joint Secretary General of the party Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told reporters at a press briefing at held at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Monday.
He said 620 of them had already been arrested. A total of 26,050 had been sued in 395 cases and 2,975 had been arrested since July 28-29.
The BNP leader said around 1,990 BNP leaders and activists had been injured across the country.
