Egg, beef to be sold at low prices in Dhaka from 10 March: Minister

The government is taking an initiative to sell commodities like egg, broiler chicken, beef, and mutton at low prices in Dhaka from 10 March in view of the month of Ramadan, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Md Abdur Rahman said on Monday.
“These products will be sold on trucks at 30 spots in the capital and we will continue this initiative until the day before Eid-ul-Fitr,” he told reporters after completion of the ministry’s session during the conference of deputy commissioners at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium.
He said beef will be sold at Tk600 per kg, mutton at Tk900 a kg, dressed broiler chicken at Tk280 per kg, and egg at Tk10.50 apiece.
