Education minister Dr Dipu Moni on Monday said all coaching centres across the country alongside the educational institution will remain shut till March 31 to contain the spread of the new coronavirus.

The minister came up with the directive while addressing a media briefing at the Secretariat in the capital at around 1:00 pm.

“Not only the educational institutions of the country, but also all coaching centres will remain closed till March 31,” she said.

Meanwhile, the government has already decided to shut all educational institutions from March 17 to 31 as part of precautionary measures to check the spread of the coronavirus infection.

Urging the students of all schools and colleges to stay in homes, Dipu Moni said, “The decision of closing all educational institutions has been taken so that students stay in their homes.”
