Highest corona infection in 9 months, 33 more die in last 24 hours

A total of 3, 737 coronavirus or Covid-19 patients were detected in the last 24 hours in the country, which is the highest in last 9 months.
In addition, some 33 more people died of Covid-19 in the country in the same period.
With this, the number of deaths stands at 8, 830.
So far, the country saw 5 lakh 88 thousand 132 patients. Earlier on July 2, last year, some 4 019 patients were detected in the country.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed this information in a press notification on Friday.
