155 BNP men sued over Chandrima Udyan clash

A case has been filed against 155 leaders and activists of BNP, a day after clash between the party men and law enforcers at Dhaka’s Chandrima Udyan.

Police lodged the case with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station on Tuesday night.

The accused have been charged for conducting sabotage, injuring law enforcement personnel and vandalising vehicles and other public properties, Md Shohidullah, deputy commissioner of Tejgaon Division, said.

 

BNP’s Dhaka city north unit convenor Amanullah Aman and its member secretary Aminul Haque were among the accused in the case filed with Sher-E-Bangla Nagar Police Station.

The law enforces have arrested 47 accused so far, Md Shohidullah said.
