The rail communications between Sylhet and the rest of the country remained suspended following derailment of seven compartments of an oil-laden train at Satgaya area in Moulvibazar’s Srimangal on Saturday noon.
Assistant station master of Srimangal railway station Shakhawat Hossain said that the compartments of Sylhet-bound train veered off the tracks in the area around 12:00noon, disrupting the train movement on the routes.
A relief train from Khulna is on the way to spot to salvage the train, said Shakhawat adding that it will take 2/3 hours to resume the rail communication.
