Bangladesh national team selector Habibul Bashar has bee diagnosed with coronavirus.
The former Bangladesh cricket team captain himself confirmed the news.
Bashar has been suffering from fever for the past two days. Later, he gave his sample for Covid-19 test and the result came out positive on Wednesday evening.
He is currently isolating himself at his own residence.
However, his other family members have tested negative for the virus.
Bashar, 48, has been the third high profile name in Bangladesh’s cricketing fraternity to contract the virus.
Earlier, all rounder Mahmudullah Riyad missed out on playing in the PSL playoffs after testing Covid-19 positive earlier this week. After Mahmudullah, Test skipper Mominul Haque also tested positive for the virus.
