Fire at Tikatuli sweeper colony doused

A fire that broke out at a sweeper colony in the city’s Tikaruli on Monday afternoon has been brought under control.
Confirming the news, Rozina Akter, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control room, said eight firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 3:15pm.
Earlier, the fire originated in the factory around 2:45 pm.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
However, no causality has been reported so far and the amount of loss could not ascertained immediately.
