The temperature of Panchagarh district plummeted to 12.9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning.
Md Rasel, acting officer of Panchgarh Meteorological Office, said the temperature of the district has started to fall down gradually with the advent of winter.
The district’s temperature was recorded 12.9 degree Celcius in Tentulia at 9:00am, he said.
The temperature in Tentulia was recorded at 13.4 degrees Celsius at 9:00am on Tuesday.
The chilly weather disrupted normal life, affecting the poor, children, elderly and day labourers hard.
Due to deep fog early in the morning, vehicles with switched on headlights were seen moving on different roads in Panchagarh.
