Dhaka, one of the most polluted cities in the world, ranked worst in the Air Quality Index (AQI) on Sunday morning.
It had a score of 439 at 10:20 am. The air was classified as ‘hazardous.’
Earliar on November 21, it had a score of 315. Since then, the level of air pollution has been steadily rising.
The presence of fine dust (PM 2.5) per cubic meter of air in Dhaka was found to be 379.4 micrograms.
The nomal level of air pollution in wind is 50 but the air in Dhaka is five times more polluted.
Dhaka is the worst air polluted city in the AQI ranking while Nepal ranked second with 195 score, and Afghanistan ranked third with 177 score.
