Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested 30 persons while they were gambling at Uttara West Police Station in the capital on Monday night.

The arrestees are: Azaharul Islam, 52, Jahangir Alam, 46, Akhter Hossain, 40, Morshed Alam, 45, Moazzem Hossain, 40, Mehedi, 50, Sadi, 58, Mizanur Rahman, 43, Eskander Ali, 44, Ruhul Amin, 44, Mozammel Haque, 38, Jakaria, 52, Jarib Hossain Khan, 44, Najim Uddin, 58, Anowaruzzaman, 37, Omar Sharif, 37, Jahangir Alam, 51, Fahim Hawlader, 42, Liakat Ali, 53, Shawkat-ul-Islam, 61, Shahidul Islam, 51, Rezaur Rahman, 54, Jakir Hossain, 50, Imtiaz Ahmmed Chowdhury, 46, Helal Sheikh, 38, Makbul Hossain, 55, Omar Farooq, 53, Ripon, 48, Abul Hossain, 63 and Jahir uddin Babu, 46.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of elite force, conducted a drive at the area and caught 30 gamblers red handed while they were gambling, RAB sources said.
At that time, 15 sets of playing cards, 38 mobile phones and Tk 6.77 lakh were recovered from the spot, according to RAB.
