Uncle, nephew electrocuted in Brahmanbaria

A man and his nephew died after being electrocuted in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria on Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Golam Mostofa, 70, son of late Abdul Barque and his nephew Jasu Mia, 65, son of late Saij Uddin, both of them hailing from Paschimpara village of the upazila.
According to the locals, Golam Mostofa came in contact with a live electric wire at his yard. Seeing him, his nephew Jasu Mia went to rescue him and he also electrocuted. Both of them died on the spot.
Mamun-ur-Rashid, sub-inspector of Nabinagar police station, confirmed the matter to media.
