Three youths were killed after a truck rammed their motorcycle in Biral upazila of Dinajpur on Tuesday night.

The accident took place at 10:30 pm on the Dinajpur-Bochaganj road in Farakkabad union of the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Laju Islam, 25, son of Bellal Hossain, Mamun Hossain, 30, son of Sharif Uddin and Anwar Hossain, 30, son of Mojamer, all of them hailing from Farakkabad Dangapara village of the upazila.
The Dinajpur-bound truck from Bochaganj rammed the motorcycle on which the victims were riding to go to their home from Dinajpur, leaving them dead on the spot, Sheikh Nasim, officer-in-charge (OC) of Biral police station, said.

Soon after after the incident, the agitated people put up barricade on the road, disrupting traffic movement in the area, he said.

The OC said that on information, police went to the spot and brought the situation under control, adding that the bodies have been handed over to the victims’ families.
