RMG workers block Tejgaon road to protest factory closure

Several hundred garment workers blocked a busy road at Tejgaon in the capital on Tuesday, protesting the closure of their factory without any prior notice.

Vehicular movement has been halted as more than 500 workers of Capritech Garments Limited took to the street in the morning.

Biplob Kumar Sheel, officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station said, “Efforts are being taken to remove the workers from the road and the demands of the workers will be discussed with the owners of the factory”.
