Confirming the news, Bachchu Mia, sub-inspector of DMCH Police Outpost, said, “The body of the newborn was recovered around 10:30 am from the area.
He said, “The age of the newborn boy is approximately 1 day and the body has been sent to DMCH’s morgue for an autopsy.”
The cause of the death will be known after getting the autopsy report, he added.
