Teesta water flows 15cm below danger level in Lalmonirhat, people of 63 chars threatened

Water of Teesta River alarmingly increases with inhabitants of 63 low-lying chars marooned.

The water level at Teesta was 15 centimeter below the danger mark at Dalia point at 9am on Sunday, sources said, adding that 44 gates of Teesta Barrage are kept open.

At least 30 houses were lost in water Teesta erosion since 10 days.

 

Dahagram  of Patgram, Gaddimari of Hatibandha, Sindurna, Votmari, Shailmari, Nohali; Mahishkhocha, Palashi, Khuniagach, Rajpur, and Gokunda are vulnerable.
