5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Bangladesh

A mild earthquake, measuring 5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale, has jolted Dhaka and other parts of the country on Wednesday morning.

The tremor was felt around at 9:15am.

The epicentre of the earthquake was in 8 km from Lakhipur in India’s Assam, according to USGS.

 

The tremor was also felt in several districts including Dinajpur, Rangpur, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Sherpur, Rajshahi and Naogaon.

No casualties or damage to properties have been reported so far.
