PSC, Ebtedayee examinations to start on November 17

Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee Examinations-2019 will begin on Sunday (November 17) across the country with the participation of 29,03,638 examinees.

This year, 25,53,267 students will sit for the Primary terminal examinations. Of them, 11, 81,300 are boys and 13,71,967 girls, said state minister for Primary and Mass Education Ministry Md Zakir Hossain at a press conference at his ministry office on Thursday afternoon.

Zakir Hossain said that a total of 3,50, 371 students – 1,87,082 boys and 1,66,281 girls – will attend the Ebtedayee terminal examinations.

The authorities concerned have taken adequate security measures along with maximum protection against question paper leakage, he said.

The examinations are scheduled to end on November 24 and this will be held at 7,458 centres across the country.

Besides, 615 students will sit for the examinations from eight countries. The three-hour examinations will begin from 10:30am.

English examination will be held on November 17, Bangla on November 18, Bangladesh and Global Studies on November 19, Elementary Science on November 20, Religion and Moral Education and Arabic, Quran Majid and Tajweed on November 21 and November 23 and Mathematics on November 24.

Last year, a total of 30,95,123 students appeared in the primary and Ebtedayee terminal examinations. Some 1,92,632 Students decreased this year comparing to last year.
