2 fishermen killed by lightning strike in Kishoreganj

Two fishermen were killed and two others injured by lightning strike in Nikli upazila of Kishoreganj early Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Jahul Mia, 50 and Shafiqul Islam, 35, both of them hailing from Karpasha union at Sharamul Awliabhita village in the upazila.
Injured Kamrul, 35 and Motaleb, 45, hailing from the area, are being treated at Nikli Upazila Health Complex.
Quoting locals, police said that thunderbolts hit the victims when they were fishing in haor at 1:00am, leaving them injured.
The injured were taken to the health complex where duty doctor declared Jahul and Shafiqul dead.
