Sugar price refixed at Tk 74-75 per kg

The price of sugar has been refixed at the consumer level.
As per the new rate, each kg of non-brand sugar will be sold at a maximum retail price of Tk 74 and packed sugar at Tk 75.
Bangladesh Sugar Refiners Association refixed the prices after discussion with the officials of the commerce ministry and Tariff Commission, said a press release on Thursday.
According to the refiners, they have refixed the prices considering the current prices in the international market and the production costs.
Currently, unpacked sugar is being sold at Tk78-80 and packed sugar at Tk 80-86 per kg.
