Millers to sell salt at Tk 15 per kg

Bangladesh Labon Mill Malik Samity (Salt mill owners association) has taken decision to sell salt at the rate of Tk 15 per Kg.
The association of private salt mill owners took the decision in a meeting held at Chattogram district administration auditorium on Wednesday morning.
The mill owners in the meeting said there’s no shortage of salt. At present, the salt stock in the country is much higher than the demand.
After emerging from the meeting, Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad EIias Hossen said legal action will be taken if anyone–mill owners, retailers—sell salt at higher price than stipulated rate. The intelligence agencies are working to stop the spread of rumour.
