By-elections to the Sirajganj-6 constituency will be held on November 2.

Election Commission Secretary, Md Humayun Kabir Khandaker, announced the date of the vote at the Election Building in the capital’s Agargaon on Wednesday afternoon.

Returning officers will examine the papers on October 10, and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is October 17.

 

Sirajganj-6 seat fell vacant following ruling Awami League MP Hasibur Rahman Swapon’s death on September 2.
