Engineer killed in Sirajganj road accident

An engineer was killed in a road accident on Bangabandhu Bridge road in Sirajganj on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Mostab Ali (40), a sub-assistant engineer of Sirajganj District Relief and Rehabilitation Office (DRRO).
Bangabandhu West Zone Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Mosaddek Ali said a Dhaka-bound truck hit the engineer when he was crossing the road around 10am.
Later, he was rushed to Sirajganj General Hospital where doctors declared him dead, the OC said.
He was an engineer of Ashrayan project, working in both Pabna and Sirajganj districts. He was going to Pabna for an official work, he said.
Police detained the truck driver and seized the vehicle after the accident immediately, the OC added.
