Mortar shell-like object found at Mirpur

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered a mortar shell-like object from an under construction building in Mirpur Zoo area of the capital in Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, the bomb disposal unit reached the spot and took to a safe place after its recovery.
ASP ANM Imran Khan, assistant director of RAB’s legal and media wing, confirmed the matter.
He said the RAB recovered a mortar shell-like object while excavating the soil of the under construction building in city’s Mirpur Zoo Road.
Details will be revealed at a press conference at Rainkhola Bazar in Mirpur-1 at afternoon, he said.
