2 killed in Cumilla road crash

Two people were killed after covered van hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Suagazi Bhatpara area of Cumilla’s Sadar Dakshin upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Jamil, 32, and Mojammel, 33 of the area.
The Chattogram-bound covered van crashed into the parked auto rickshaw after its driver lost control of the vehicle on Dhaka-Chattogram highway, leaving two people, including the rickshaw driver, killed on the spot, Khorshed Alam, sub-inspector of Maynamati Highway Crossing Police Station, said.
