Man gets death for killing mother in Mymensingh

A Mymensingh court on Monday sentenced a man to death for killing his mother at Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh in 2018.
Judge of Mymensingh District and Sessions Judge Court Md Helal Uddin passed the order.
The death-row convict is identified as Md Mostofa, son of late Abdul Jabbar Miah of Jamirdia Dubuliapara in the upazila.
The court also fined him Tk 10 thousand.
Kabir Uddin bhuiyan, the Public Prosecutor of the court, confirmed the matter to media.
Mostofa hacked his mother Morium Begum to death over a land dispute on December 13, 2018.
Later his brother Shah Jalal filed a case accusing five people including Mostofa.
