Three killed in Sirajganj road accidents

At least three people were killed and five others injured in separate road accidents on Sunday night in Sirajganj.
The deceased were identified as Monwara Begum (45), her son Nayan Hossain (20), and Anwarul Islam (46).
The injured were taken to Sirajganj General Hospital where Nayan’s mother succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, Md Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station, quoting eyewitnesses said that a bus hit a tractor at Khalkula Bazar area of Hatikumrul-Bonpara highway around 8:30pm, leaving the tractor’s driver Anwarul Islam dead on the spot and injuring three others.
Police seized the bus but its driver managed to flee the scene after the accident immediately, the OC said.
