Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) with chest pain on Tuesday morning.
Awami League office secretary Biplab Barua said, “He was hospitalised after he complained of chest pain.”
The hospital authorities and AL have urged visitors to refrain from crowding the hospital.
Earlier, he was admitted to BSMMU initially on March 2, 2019, following breathing complications.
Later on March 4, the minister had been flown to Singapore on an air ambulance for advanced treatment.
The minister underwent a bypass surgery at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for three blockages in his coronary artery on March 20.
Later, he returned home on May 15 after receiving treatment in Singapore for over two months.
