The annual general meeting (AGM) of Korea-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI) was held at Gulshan Club in the capital on Sunday.
South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang-Keun participated in the AGM as a chief guest.
Having not been able to hold the meeting in 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation, the AGM adopted annual report of 2019/2020 and endorsed new members and Board directors.
With around 150 Korean and Bangladesh companies as member, KBCCI is headed by Mostafa Kamal, Chairman of Meghna Group of Industries.
Emphasising the crucial role of the KBCCI in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries, Ambassador Lee asked active contribution and support of the organisation.
KBCCI was incorporated in 2010 as a trade organisation with the objectives of promoting, developing, facilitating trade and investment activities between Korea and Bangladesh.
