Barrister Rumeen Farhana, a BNP lawmaker from reserved seat, tested positive for coronavirus.This is the second time that she has contracted the virus, earlier was in 2020.
She is doing well and taking treatment from isolation at her residence in the capital.
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP chairperson’s media wing, confirmed the matter.
On June 9 last year, Barrister Rumeen Farhana took oath as a member of the 11th Parliament.
BNP, which has five MPs in the House, got one reserved seat and picked Rumeen, the party’s assistant international affairs secretary and daughter of Language Movement hero Oli Ahad.
