Markup on gold Tk 1,750 per bhari

The price of gold of 22 carat has jumped by Tk 1,750 to Tk 78, 849 per bhari.
A committee of Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) entrusted with evaluating market and fixing price of gold came up with the decision on Monday.
The new price will come into effect from April 12, 2022 and continue until further notice, said a press release issued by MA Hannan Azad, chairman of BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Monitoring.
Price of 21 carat gold has risen by Tk 1,749 to Tk 75, 349 per bhari; 18 carat by Tk 1,458 to Tk 64, 560; and traditional gold by Tk 1,224 to Tk 53, 829.
Meanwhile, price of silver of 22 carat stands at Tk 1,516 per bhari; 21 carat at Tk 1,435; 18 carat at Tk 1,225 and traditional silver at Tk 933.
