The authorities of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) have decided to keep shut all the academic and administrative activities of the university for two days in a week.
The decision was taken as per the instructions of Ministry of Education and University Grants Commission to save the energy and electricity.
As per the new decision, the university will remain shut on Thursday and Friday.
However, the authorities decided to hold classes virtually and exams in-person on Thursday.
This decision was taken in the 41st meeting of the Academic Council of the university held on Monday night.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Hasibur Rashid chaired the meeting.
