Woman arrested with 2.75kg heroin in Chapainawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested a woman with 2.75 kilograms of heroin at a bordering village in Chapainawabganj district on Friday night.
The arrestee is Morjani Khatun, 25, wife of Abdus Samad of Kodalkati Madhyachar village under Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila, said a RAB-5 press release on Saturday.
The release said that, acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive at the house of Abdus Samad at Kodalkati Madhyachar village on Friday night and arrested Morjani Khatun.
Based on the information provided by Morjina, they recovered 2.75 kilograms of heroin from the house.
The process of filing a case against the woman under the Narcotics Control Act 2018 was underway, the press release added.
