2 die drinking ‘excessive liquor’ in Pabna

Two people died and another fell sick after drinking ‘excessive’ liquor at Sathia upazila in Pabna on Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Kajol Fakir, 55, son of Rahman Fakir, hailing from Dhulauri village at Dhulauri union of the upazila and Selim, 30, son of Jaher Ali, of the same area.
Rezaul Karim, son of Abdur Razzaque, is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Confirming the news, Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sathia Police Station, said that they took excessive alcohol on Tuesday night and fell sick afterwards.
The bodies were sent to Pabna Hospital morgue for autopsies, he said.
