Bangladesh captain Liton Das has won the toss and chose to bowl first against Afghanistan in the second of the three match one-day international series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.
Bangladesh must win today to keep the series alive after a dominating all-round display from the visitors saw them win the rain-interrupted first ODI by 17 runs in D/L method on Wednesday.
The Tigers have included Naim Sheikh in the opening slot for today’s fixture, following Tamim Iqbal’s shock retirement from international cricket on Thursday despite leading the team in the first ODI.
Tamim, however, withdrew his decision following a three-and-a-half-hour meeting with the prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, on Friday and is set to take a six-week break in order to get required treatment from injury.
Bangladesh have made one more change in their playing eleven, with Ebadot Hossain replacing fellow pacer Taskin Ahmed.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan have kept their line-up unchanged.
