Police recovered bullet-hit bodies of two people from Alutila Germplasm area under Matiranga in Khagrachari district Wednesday morning.

Names of the victims could be known as Alopam Chakma, 47, and Pritimay Chakma, 48, but no detals could be known so far, Matiranga Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Zakaria said.

He suspected that the victims were members of any hill-tracts based organisation and were killed by their rival organisation.

Referring to the local people, he said, local people heard sounds of fire in the area at about 10:00pm and when they went to work in the area, they saw the two bullet-hit bodies in Germplasm area and informed it to police.

The police officer said that they, immediately after receiving the news, rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
