4.6 magnitude earthquake jolts Sylhet

A mild tremor of 4.6 magnitude on the Richter Scale was felt in surrounding areas of Sylhet around 1:00pm on Tuesday.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 18 km away from Jaintiapur in Sylhet.

Tremors were felt on both sides of Bangladesh and India border.

No damage or casualties were reported as of filing this report.
