Giasuddin Selim-directed movie “Kajol Rekha” will be released in theatres across the country and abroad on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. The campaign for the movie is now going on with full swing.
Earlier, the film “Kajal Rekha” has been announced for release several times, but it has repeatedly been pushed back at the last minute.
However, Mondera Chakroborty, who acted in the movie as title role, has given a hundred percent assurance that it will be released next Eid. She said, “There is no possibility of delaying the release date of the movie. “Kajol Rekha” will be released this Eid. So get ready to watch the movie with your family members and friends in theatres. Several movies will be released on Eid and “Kajal Rekha” may be the first in the watch list of the audience.”
“Director Selim bhai has made the movie with utmost care. I’ve tried my level best to portray myself according to the character. I hope this movie will keep me alive in the audience. My humble request to the audience, please go to cinema halls and enjoy our movie during the Eid festival”, Mondera added.
The movie “Kajal Rekha” is based on the 16th century “Mymensingh Geetika”. The movie has been described as a “musical film” by the director Giasuddin Salim. It has about twenty songs. Four songs have already been released.
Besides Mondera Chakroborty, actors Sariful Razz, Iresh Zaker, Azad Abul Kalam, Shahana Rahman Sumi, Mithila, Khairul Basar, Sadia Ayman and others have played important roles in the movie.
The release date of the movie was announced through a gala event at a five-star hotel in the capital’s Banani area on 9 March. Two posters of the movie were also unveiled as part of the promotion at the programme. One is an international poster and the other is a festival poster. However, it has been informed that the new poster for theatre release will be unveiled soon.
