Measures for decent employment in the upcoming budget received the highest response among 14 areas in an online survey made by the Citizen’s Platform for SDGs Bangladesh.
About 21 per cent, out of 2,249 responses, collected through the Google and 8,048 from social media wanted sufficient fiscal measures to curb the unemployment problem.
The survey was revealed in the keynote of the discussion titled New Government, National Budget and Citizens’ Aspirations on Sunday in the city by the platform.
Education (17.51 per cent), social protection (12.09 per cent), inclusive society (8.03 per cent) and skill development (7.6 per cent) are the other top areas, said Debupriya Bhattacharya, convener of the platform, while revealing the outcome of the survey participated by the left-behind communities.
Commodity prices, agriculture, women empowerment, health, governance, infrastructure, children, housing/rehabilitation and climate change are the areas.
About 1.4 per cent and 1.3 per cent responses are in favour of bottom placed housing and climate change.
