Met office predicts rain at many places across Bangladesh

Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over six divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places.

Trough of low lies over West Bengal to North-west Bay.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Gopalgonj, Rajshahi, Noakhali, Cox’s Bazar, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jashore, Satkhira, Patuakhali and Bhola and it may abate.

Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 38.2 degrees Celsius at Mongla and minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded 21.3 degree Celsius jointly and Tetulia and Dimla.

Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00am on Sunday was recorded 90 millimeters at Tetulia.

Day temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius over eastern part and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country. Night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

The sun will set on Sunday at 06:36pm and rises on Monday at 05:14am in the capital.
