A 16-DAY group photography exhibition titled Buk Petechhi Guli Kor is under way at Drik Gallery.
The exhibition is showcasing various photographs of the student-led mass uprising in the month of July and August, to mark the 35th anniversary of Drik, the Drik Picture Library has arranged the exhibition.
The exhibition is comprised of 115 photographs and 9 image screenshots from video of the July mass uprising with painted slogans in the gallery which was curated by ASM Rezaur Rahman.
A total of 41 photographers including Shahidul Alam, Kazi Arifuzzaman, Kuddus Alam, Habibul Haque, Munir Uz Zaman, Pulok Kumar, Istiak Karim, Parvez Ahmad Rony, Jibon Ahmed, Rahat Karim are participating photographers of the exhibition.
Countrywide protests of students with participation of the people of the country, their slogans, graffiti and placards, Bangla Blocked, performance art, street plays, song rallies, the goons of the Chhatra League and Jubo League along with the police attacking the protesters, bodies of killed protesters, symbolic funeral, teachers protesting against repression against students, attacks on police, attacks on media professionals, deployment of the BGB, death of a rickshaw puller, helicopter releasing tear gas, scenes at hospitals, celebrations of downfall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government at Ganabhaban and Sangsad Bhaban and others were depicted in the exhibition.
The families of the martyrs of the July uprising and the injured and students of the movement jointly inaugurated the exhibition on Friday.
The exhibition will end on September 21.
