Jennifer Gates, the eldest daughter of philanthropists Bill and Melinda Gates, announced her engagement with Egyptian showjumper Nayel Nassar.

Jennifer took to her official Instagram handle to announce the news to the world.

Bill, the founder of Microsoft, wrote, “I am completely thrilled! Congratulations,” while Melinda wrote, “So thrilled for you and Nayel Nassar”.

Bill wrote “ I’m feeling like the luckiest man in the world. Jenn, you are everything I could have possibly imagined. and so much more. I can’t wait to keep growing together through this journey called life!”

Jennifer graduated from Stanford University in 2018 with a degree in human biology and is currently attending medical school in New York City.

Gates, an equestrian herself, has competed against Eve Jobs, daughter of the late Steve Jobs.
